Dua Lipa, an English performer and songwriter, was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. Dua Lipa signed with Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model. She launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album climbed to number 3 on the U.K. Charts and produced eight singles. These included Be the one I.D.G.A.F, the U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum in many countries. Her parents were Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian descendance via her maternal grandmother. There is also a trace of Lipa's ancestors to Peja who was from Kosovo. Her two great-grandparents are historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has another younger brother named Gjin. The father of Lipa, the musician and lead singer from the Kosovan group Oda was a major influence on her music.
