Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered to be among the top gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was the U.S.'s first female gymnast ever to be awarded four gold medals. She also won the world championship for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles along with the younger of her sisters Adria, who were adopted from Ronald Biles as well as Nellie Biles their grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region) and grew up in the Houston area. Simone was interested in gymnastics when she was just six when she took a field trip for day care in Bannon's Gymnastix and she remained there for 11 years, under the guidance of her instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles took home a medal for vault as well as a gold medal on the floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin competing in elite levels of gymnastics competition. In less than two years, she had become the most successful athlete in her discipline. Biles distinguished herself by being constant, possessing an enthusiastic and lively personality, and also incorporating the most difficult of exercises to all her activities vaulting uneven bars floor exercise.
