Lee received his first drum sticks at the age of four and his first full-size drum kit when he was an adolescent. Lee resigned from high school to pursue a career in music starting with Suite 19, a L.A.-based group that was a club. When he was a teenager the band played Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Cheap Trick, Kiss, AC/DC and Sweet. John Bonham and Tommy Aldridge were his most significant drumming influences.
