Olivia Rodrigo
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo, born on 20 February 2003, is an American actress and singer-songwriter. Her leading characters in Disney's High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Bizaardvark made her famous in the latter half of 2010s. Rodrigo was able to release her first single Driver's License in 2020 after signing with Interscope Records (Geffen) and Interscope Records (Interscope Records). It broke numerous records and was one of her top songs in 2021. The single was followed by the hits "Deja Vu", "Good 4 U" and "Good 4 U" prior to her debut solo studio album, Sour (2021), that received both commercial and critical acclaim and won three Grammy Awards. The Disney+ documentary, Olivia Rodrigo: Driving Home 2 U, chronicling her creative process with Sour was released in 2022. Rodrigo was one of the Billboard Hot 100 #1 single, one Billboard 200 #1 album and five multiPlatinum certified by the Recording Industry Association of America. She was also recognized with an American Music Award and seven Billboard Music Awards. Time named her an Entertainer of 2021 as well as Billboard the Woman of the year in 2022. Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was the daughter of Jennifer Rodrigo, who was a school teacher, and Chris Rodrigo, a family therapist. She was born at Rancho Springs Medical Center, Murrieta, California on February 20th 2003. [3][4][5][6]She grew up in Temecula. 7 Rodrigo is Filipino American;[8] her father is Filipino while her mother has German and Irish ancestry. She has said that her great-grandfather's paternal grandfather left the Philippines to the United States as a teenager and her family follows Filipino traditions and cuisine. Rodrigo started singing lessons at the age of six, and soon learned to play piano. When she was six years old, young, she began singing and acting classes. She also began acting in school productions. Rodrigo was already playing guitar by the age of 12. [12] She grew to listen to alternative rock music like Pearl Jam, No Doubt and Green Day. Rodrigo discovered her love for writing songs after listening to country music, such as Taylor Swift. [14] She moved from Brazil to Los Angeles following her audition for Bizaardvark.
